I think Cache Valley, Utah, is one of the most beautiful places I have lived. These paintings are all from Cache Valley, with special emphasis on Hyrum, where I live, located at the south end of the valley.

I grew up in the mountains of Utah, and have maintained a deep love of the mountains and canyons. Please let me share some of the beautiful mountain scenes from all over, but mostly Utah.

It seems that artists have an affinity for aging barns and other buildings. Something about time, or timelessness, or time passing. A desire to hold on to the past, perhaps. What draws you to these images?

Who can resist a reflection? That miracle of duplication that can vary from mirror-like accuracy to misty colors on a ruffled surface.

I am drawn to these images as an artists, but also as a botanist. It's a wonder to observe the miracle of the cycle of life, and new life.
